Again, we had no planned excursions. The one we wanted was sold out, but strangely enough, we could just walk into the places that were included on that tour. We went to the Baranov museum and the Wildlife center which were right across the street from each other. We didn't make it to the Alutiiq museum, but we spent the full day with what we saw.
Back on the ship I enjoyed the view from (again) the aft deck 8. There were lots of float-plane flights going over the area and I finally got a good photo of one. Most of the touristy things to do on Kodiak involve going inland on one of those planes for extended periods. I think it would be cool to spend a week out at one of the lodges but that's for another day.
