We had a nice day hanging out at home and watching Firefly with one of Seth's friends. As I cooked dinner I flipped on the Olympics on one of those other cable channels--you know, the ones waaaaay down the guide list. This crazy sport was being played. Seth and I ended up watching in a fascinated Olympic fever. It was fast-paced and quite violent and we both naturally picked to cheer for the team that was losing when we turned on the game--Norway (France was winning 17-13). We had absolutely no idea what the rules were or even the name of the sport, but we had great fun cheering madly for Norway :) They had a player named Loke and their coach's name was Thorir! How can you not cheer for that!?
Unfortunately they lost 24-23 and it was a nail-biter. We did find out that the sport was handball (not the kind of handball I remember), there are only 12 teams competing, and the USA doesn't have a team. We are experts! :)
Seth says if he ever becomes a billionaire, he will finance a USA Olympic Handball team, so watch for that in the future.
