I heard about the Fisher House 5k run/walk on the radio and thought I could tackle it. My only goal was to finish. I had a good time actually, even though it was a struggle.
Andrew was with the Wounded Warrior project and let me pose with his flag. I had tried to keep up with him early on in the walk, but I fell behind around the 1/2-mile mark.
Part of the route was pretty, but most of it was kind of boring. They billed it as a scenic walk around Lake Alice but it was waaaay around Lake Alice--most of the time the lake was not in view ;)
