We gave Lake Santa Fe another try since it had been raining almost every day for the last week. The water level was still pretty low, but we did get the boat out of the canal and out on the lake. Right at the mouth of the canal, an egret was chilling. As we approached he took flight. I've always wanted to catch a photo of one like that, and even though it's not centered, I'm glad I got him in frame :)
